Maison was formed in the fall of 2014 with the customer as our main focus.  We differentiate ourselves from the competition by standing by our commitments and going the extra mile to ensure that our clients' wants and needs are heard, and achieved.  We strive for the ultimate level of attention to detail, professionalism, dedication, and vision throughout the design and construction process.  Working with clients to establish specific goals and timelines, we custom tailor our approach by project. By employing interactive communication, we bring to life the client’s visions in a cost effective, timely, and professional manner.

About Kenneth M. Kostecki - President

Driven by a passion for detail, people, and construction, Kenneth spent 14 years in Engineering and Technical Sales, working for top Fortune 500 companies and the like such as Newell Rubbermaid and GE. Kenneth appreciates the variety of experiences and opportunities this career path afforded him, but always had a desire to forge his own path and utilize his complete skillset to create a truly special business. After experiencing continual frustration in dealing with disorganized contractors, and then completing numerous construction projects on his own, he realized an opportunity to apply his abilities to offer a more professional approach to the renovation market, all while sharing his passion of building with others.

In 2014, Kenneth founded Maison RVA in Richmond Virginia, a Construction & Renovation Company with a focus on working with people to bring their dreams and ideas to life. Kenneth views building as part process and part vision, and hopes to succeed in his primary goal of giving people the home that both works efficiently and inspires daily.

Kenneth holds an Undergraduate Degree in Composite Materials Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. He has lived in Richmond, Virginia since 2008

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese also beneficial.

  • Must have own reliable transportation

  • Computer skills including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF software, etc.

  • General knowledge of construction is helpful, but not necessary

  • Ability to accurately measure and calculate square footages / materials required

Qualifications

  • Lead Carpenter Candidates MUST be highly experienced carpenters and have at least 10 years of hands on construction carpentry / renovation experience. Candidates with Intermediate levels of experience will be considered for general carpenter positions.

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese also beneficial.

  • Must have own basic tools, and reliable transportation.

Hands on Skills:

  • Framing

  • Trim carpentry

  • Doors and windows

  • Siding

  • Tile

  • Demo

  • Light electrical and plumbing

  • Other relevant renovation/ construction skills
